well i can tell ya one thing,i hope they can control temp issues with these things when they hit the pickup line. the only siamesed cyl diesels that come to my mind were the 8. 2 detroit and the 3208 cat. the 8. 2 was a fair engine at best, but did not take high coolant temps well, and had a tendecy to run hotter as well. the 3208 was a much better engine, and didnt have as much of a problem running hot,but it also didnt react well to being run hot very well either. i have owned two or more of each engines, the 3208 being one of my all time favorites, but fact is facts. i have seen 7. 3,6. 2 and 5. 9 engines run bad hot and show no ill effects. cant say that for an 8. 2 .
