I've got a CHECK ENGINE light on , and a CHECK GAUGES light on

a couple of weeks back the oil press. gauge became intermittant

then quit and now its pegged @ 60 lbs with a check gauges light

and the auto trans is shifting @ unusually high rpms. on inspection

I found oily residue on the silencer ring and small fan visable when the intake snorkle is removed from the turbo. any ideas?

Are you saying the oil pressure gauge is stuck at 60 psi? My 99 pegs at 110psi I believe.



Maybe you have a bad oil sending unit or a loose wire on it? I do not know if it related to the funny acting trans. Sounds like it is going into protective mode or something.
