shutdown timer

Hope you guy's can help. at sturgis this year I saw a cummins with 4" dual chrome side pipes:--) . Does anyone know about these. They looked great wish I had seen the plate on the truck but I was distracted by many women without any inhabitions:rolleyes:

I made a set out of 4" stacks and made my owm mounting system. Had them on for a week and took them off. Too loud in the cab (I know, I know, how can it be TOO loud?). I should have made them longer so they reached all the way back to the back tires. Mine stopped at the end of the cab. They look cool though. The Cannonball Express had a set of 6" sidepipes made by Gibson, but they aren't production.

Does nasty things to your tire, wheel, and whole side of the truck! However, if you're into driving lessons, a small cross-hair can be painted on the Pass. side back window... about where the pipe exits... :D

I assembled a similar system using a 4" downpipe into a 4" 2-way T-splitter finished of with a pr. of Geno's 5" chrome tips.

Exhaust exits just beyond rear doors and Nerf bars, tips extend 1. 5" from side of cab. So far, soot has not been an issue. Only downside is front of tips get dinged because I don't have front mud-flaps.

If interested, I'll have to check paperwork at home for the website I got the T-splitter, 4" straight pipe, stainless band-clamps, and downpipe from.

4" downpipe: www.dieselpro.net $160 + s/h

4" straight pipe, splitter tee adapter tube, elbows, clamps

www.auto-jet.com couldn't find my sales slip, but I believe all of these were less than $200 + s/h

I used the (2) 45 deg. elbows to drop the exhaust low enough to clear fuel tanks (1" below) and nerf bars

5" Monster tips: www. genosgarage.com $47 ea + s/h

I used a bead of JB weld to hold the tips in place they slide on rather snug, so this was mostly for piece of mind.

Hope this helps, Mark
