side step for mega cab inquiring

Hello,

Im looking for some side steps, for my new mega cab dually and was trying to find something that looks clean but still protects the doors sum what from from the occational door dings. Do you have any recommendations on what looks good out there so i can check them out. If you have any pictures that would help out alot.

Just purchased a set of Westin step bars from Summit Racing. These are stainless, but in Ohio they should last better than chrome covered carbon steel. These are made for the Mega and look good and have a good finish. Took about 2 hours to install with a little help from Gale holding the end up while I bolted each bar up. Cost about $420.

I also have Westin's. Would've gone stainless had they been available (oct 05). Installation wasn't bad either.

I bought some n-fab units for my megacab. They sit up tighter to the body and have welded steps that sit out under each door. Only drawback is that they mount to the pinch-weld and not the frame. Drilling holes in the pinchweld is bad for it, just a pain.

I don't have a dually, but I put the Mopar bars on my Mega Cab. They look pretty nice and weren't that hard to install. Well, until the sun started going down and I was too lazy to get a work light.

My truck came with Westin tube type black painted running boards. In less than a year the paint was flaking off and the underlying metal was all rusty. looked like crap. The stainless types are made of really poor quality metal and they also rust and look like crap.
That is why i went with aluminium diamond plate full length running boards by DZ. After over a year they still look like new.
