Signal Flasher Location

Signal Flasher Location?????

Anybody know where the turn signal flasher unit is on the 03-up trucks? I hear it in the steering column but I don't want to start taking things apart yet. I'm working on getting LED bulbs working properly.

I'm pretty sure the computer handles it all. (not a typical flasher unit)

Anybody notice how that the signal indicator and the signal itself aren't in sync with each other? It's like you don't know exactly what stage of the signal that the lights are by just looking at the indicator... the lights are just a tad bit slower than the dash shows, therefore falling farther behind with each flash cycle. A small thing but it bothers me just the same...

I believe you're right. I've been researching and everything points to the fact that there is no plug in flasher.
