"Agnes, do you know where I put the insurance agent's phone number?"

Edit: See the photo in the posts below.

Another genius who has probably not made the first payments on his shiny new GM 2500 swb srw truck or big fifth wheel.

Edit: Done. This link will disappear. Would someone smarter or more computer literate than I am please post the actual photo here?

HAIR CUT PALACE!!!

To get this far he had to floor the throttle and have the transfer case in four wheel drive.

1)-Either some guy was tailgating him when he did this, or he was towing a utility trailer behind the 5ver.

2) Not sure where this is, but they wanted to make REALLY sure no overtall rigs got through. Nice I-beams.

It looks to me like that "warning bar" is fortified and I'm willing to bet we will see more pictures of different wrecks in the future.

That's no joke... I wonder whats so important to have that reinforced structure to protect??

Oh, and its legal to tow a trailer behind the RV behind the truck in SOME states, PA isn't one (although I towed a log splitter behind my small utility trailer from New Mexico to PA before without question (got lucky)...

Where the hell is this located? #@$%!

Hope it's not in the New England area where we will be sight seeing in a rental car next couple weeks. :-laf

What you want to bet the crossbar failed to post the height.

Anyone know where that road leads?

Don't you RVer's have a blog somewhere listing these hazzards? Or, are they listed it the OTR truckers map books?

I'll bet theres a either a low hung, old suspension bridge, or tunnel, or maybe even an old tree that overhangs further down the road at that height... it certainly has to be something that makes it worth it for the authorities to make sure that NOTHING over height is going to get through alive!!

I think????? that road is in Colorado before a tunnel but I may be wrong, looks like a utility type trailer behind with 4-wheeler(s)

like they say "you can't fix stupid"

The original e-mailed link I posted was to KTLA which normally is the abbreviation for a television station in the Los Angeles area. This barrier and incident appear to have been on private property.

Now he can do away with his utility trailer and just park the ATVs in the living room, and go any where.

My co worker hit an unmarked low clearance (12' 2") overpass with a bullrack. Made it all of the way through without getting wedged, but is now topless. :-laf No injures to the cattle. :)

Fortunately the ins co treated us well, and got a great used spread axle out of the deal, in place of the closed tandem we had. :D

Not ALL low clearances are posted in a truckers atlas. Only for marked truck routes. So, for me that is always out in the sticks getting loads, it isn't of much help most of the time. I can dump my air ride on the tractor and trailer to cheat as needed. ;)
