Silencer Ring Ques. (another newbie)

So I am assuming if you pull the hose on the intake side of the the turbo the ring is around the outside of the fins and held in with a big clip?

Thats it The thin piece of metal that funnels air into the turbo.

If you remove the ring, expect a lot more turbo whistle, no power increase. Be real careful not to hit any of the compressor wheel blades, or you will be buying a new turbo soon.
