silly question

I decided that I needed a fuel pressure gauge. I also decided to get the DiPricol one. so far so good.

The problem is that the only single gauge pod (other than the SRT-10, which I have for EGT/Boost) is the column pod. And it's on the wrong side. I'd be willing to give up seeing the Cruise Control Indicator, but not the Odo.



So, then, I am going to get the 2-gauge windshield mount (above the rear view) - the only question is, what other gauge to get?

choices are:

- trans temp (I have a NV5600)

- engine oil temp

- oil pressure

- differential temp



what would YOU do?

Easy.

Oil pressure is next most significant to the masses.

Definitely oil pressure.



The factory oil pressure gauge is a fancy idiot light. It simulates oil pressure readings based on engine temperature and an on/off oil pressure switch (or so I've been told).

Just FYI

I installed a dual overhead pod last night, Dripricols also, you will have to drill out the back of the pod to allow the fuel pressure line through, so it won't bend. I also used a needle/suringe to fill the line w/ antifreeze. Worked well. You will also need about 12 feet of that 1/8" line to get from the overhead and out to the fire wall. I also used some heat shrink tubing in a couple spots to keep the bundle of wires together when installing them in the head liner. Also take the sunvisor off (be careful if you have the mirror light in it, there is a wire in there) it will give you a little more room to shove all those wires up in there. I had a total of 5 (transmission temp and FP) wires. There are a couple pics in my gallery.

FWIW, I have the Autometer column mount and don't find it at all objectionable. I'm 6'3", so maybe that helps. I have pix in my reader's rig gallery. Drop by for a look.
