Silly Survey: Starting Instructions Sticker

Okay, so who still has their "Diesel Starting Instructions" sticker under their sun visor?

A warning sticker came with the back-up alarm I got, so for fun, I stuck it up by the Starting Instructions which I haven't bothered to yank. Now I think I'll keep them both. #ad

Even though it takes a lot of time to read the instructions every time I start and shutdown I do it anyway to make sure I do it right. The instructions are there for the same reason as the fuel gauge reading empty when there are 7 gallons left to go, to protect ourselves from our own stupidity. Don't remove the instructions or you will forget how to start your truck. I took mine off and had to super-glue them back up or my truck wouldn't start. The same goes for the labels on pillows. #ad

Y'all are lucky. Mine self removed. After about a year it curled up and peeled off. Same with the emission sticker. I mounted them both in the owner's manual. I figgured that is what the blank pages were for. B. Gill I don't have so much of a problem with the AAA guy, It's the guy that comes up to me at the fuel punp and asks if it's a diesel. At which point I get wide eyed and say, "Gosh!! I hope so. "

Instructions? You read them? Honest to god, I've seen that sticker there since my '95 and really, honestly, I never read ONE WORD on it! Didn't even know what it was for! The light says "wait to start" so I take the lights word for it and when it turns off I crank it over and go. Not terribly complex.

The way the lawyers are going they'll make infants sign (footprint) disclaimers stating they won't sue the hospital for making them take a breath of air.

The '95 I bought a couple months ago still had it on there... . but clutter like that has gotta go!
I'm still trying to figure out how to get the air bag warning labels off my '00 Ram sunvisors. They're really an ugly eye sore for me.

It was kind of a joke on the sunvisor airbag decals,'cause the edges are melted into the fabric. DC didn't want those going anywhere.

Those air bag decals really annoy me. Those are the ones I'd like to get off. I guess I could just have the visers reupholstered.

Man is that what those instructions were for,STARTING?,,Phew, after all the years and multiple millions of miles driving a diesel truck I'd have never figured they(Dodge)would not trust me to start my truck safely,,I just assumed they were for collecting dust over the visor,,Oh,the other stickers for the airbags meant the ones mounted in the dash???,,I kinda figured it was for my esteemed other in the passengers seat(she is a blonde ya know,as I now get a slap across the back of the head she is mumbling something about revenge for the blonde reference),You know AIR BAG=BLONDE,,Man I gotta start looking over my shoulder for the decal police,mine are all gone!!!(PLUS look out for a Blonde now seking REVENGE,HE HE HE!!!!)OWWWWWWWWW!!!!!
