Since I put the turbo on the truck I have noticed a bit of oil in the intake of the turbo, Called Industrial and they claimed that this can hassen as the seals can have normal blowby. I dont believe that oil splatter on the underside of my hood is considered to be normal blowby, they again told me that unless it is absolutely blowing oil into the motor, the seals either work or dont work, there is no inbetween!!

Can anyone please help me on this one who might own a silver bullet and tell me if your intake hose or if your not running a filter, is your turbo visibly blowing oil through the intake

Thanks for the help

Truck still runs good and turbo performs as it did brand new but just concerned about the excessive oil

wow ... small world

noticed a small amount of oil on the intake side of my HX-55 the other day when i had the intake off for new front shocks ...

could you guys post whatever you figure out ...

Is the oil pooling? If its engine oil then you probably have a thrust bearing going out.

Also what kind of air intake do you run?

Finally found problem, industrial tells you to bend your stock oil return line..... BAD news, it restricted the flow in which the oil could leave the turbo, welded some pipe together and everything works like a charm!!!!!

Sorry you had problems. That does sound like the problem. Who did you talk to at our place when you called? Bending the oil return pipe on a second gen. a small amount is not an issue but bending it enough to restrict oil return is a little much. This would have been brought up by me if I talked to you. I will talk with my people but they always try to do their best at helping our customers. How does it perform now? Have fun with it. Thanks, Brady
