Anyone running a s. b. turbo and how does it light compared to a 64 14?And will stage 5 ddp injectors (200h. p. ) be enough fuel? Will a stocker cam work ok for now?It is going in 01, drag comp,Full billit tranny89%,ats ported manifold, stage 2 intake. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Quentin

Yes it is a new turbo for the market. We have sold about 70-80 to date. They are very hard to make, there is a lot of machine work that has to be done. The results are very impressive however. We have ran a high of 85psi but will no longer let it run that high. We now run at 75psi and made 812hp with our 04. 5 3rd gen. It will launch easily over 30psi if you can keep the drive train from breaking. I don't know of anyone that wants to send their Silver Bullet back. Hope this helps! Thanks, Brady

Silver Bullet oh yea!

The Silver Bullet in my opinion is the best high performance single turbo on the market today. I have had the stock turbo, HTB-12, SPS62-14 and now the Silver Bullet. Each turbo has it's place in what your performance goals are. The stock is just that stock. The HTB-12 is good for towing and light upgrades. The SPS62-14 is the best all around turbo for towing, medium upgrades and daily driver. The Silver Bullet is for extreme upgrades, water injection, NOS, high flow injectors etc. Not recommended for heavy towing. Where the silver Bullet performance shines is at the top end. It out pulls the SPS62-14 at the 70 + MPH range. It likes plenty of fuel and air. I use it as a daily driver and spools very well for a large turbo. It takes a little getting used to. . :-laf  :-laf

I will not sell or trade my Silver Bullet unless Industrial Injection comes out with something better.

Unless you are hung-up on twins, the Silver Bullet puts out as much HP and boost if you have the fuel and air you would every want and still have a daily driver.

Would it be possible to run the sb in a twin setup, maybe with something smaller for better driveability?

No I would not, believe it or not IMO the SB lights faster than the 64/80, it just isn't that big... ... big but not like a 3B or B2. I have sold a few to people in this area and have one myself. The turbo just flat out goes, yes you will lose that punch that the 35 has, but unlike the 35 when you hammering down the road the pull is unbelievable.

I will be checking drive pressures this weekend as mine is hitting 65psi. I will report back as to what I have found.

I still have the stock cam and valve springs... ... ... and so far all is well. Well except for the boots, I finally upgraded. Never wrecked a stocker, but did have it come off from under the clamp. Put it this way, Oct 2005 I made 427hp and 1092fpt, turbo swap and redyno in March 4 days after having it on, well my sig shows it, 568 and 1044fpt on the same dyno. Does the turbo move air... ... ..... uh ya... ... :D

I love the pull I get, it doesn't fall on it's face at 2800 RPM's like the stocker did. It pulls STRONG from about 17 and a half hundred RPM's past red line, and I do mean suck you back in your seat strong... That just a SPS 62 I couldn't imagine a SB...

Your setup will work fine..... Our work truck is running a SB, Mach 4 injectors (150HP) and a drag comp. We tow with it and drive it daily. It doesn't spool like a HX35 but it by far the fastest spooling large charger I have used. We have several customers using them and all are very happy with the results! The SB has more air than the 66 and doesn't exhibit the ill side effects they do.

Spool is a subjective term. I replaced my sledpuller 68 with a SB on my 97 and the SB doesn't spool faster than the 68 from off idle. If anyone was at IRP I was the idiot with the maroon truck that took 40secs to spool. Once the SB has about 8-10 lbs of boost it spools faster than the 68. So if you want a truck to build boost at a lower RPM then the SB is not the ticket, I have street driven the truck and going from the HTT sledpuller 68 to the SB I picked up about 8 psi just swapping chargers. II says that on a 24V and a HPCR motor that it spools better. I know this is the 24V forum and another thing I could do to help spool up is loosen my convertor. The SB does have it strong points. :)

I've had my silver bullet on now for about 2 months and I wouldn't trade it for anything, brady said i would like this turbo and I love it. The spool is not near as good as the stocker but after about 10psi you'll be you'll be very happy with the way this thing spools. At the track friday night I done a 12. 43 @ 107. 99 my pryo pegged at 1600 just as I went over the line.

ive got a silver bullet on my 12 valve... . and i love it! Oo. industrial injection put together a really good peice... . ive noticed no surging, barking, or huffing. im very pleased so far. . i was concerned with the driveability before it was put on but now that its on there's no problem driving it on the street everyday to and from work. you'll be pleased if ya get one.
