Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
I headed out to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan this past weekend. My truck only had 6500 miles on it so I was a little hesitant, but what the hell. I stopped in Milwaukee to pick up a friend on thursday and friday we hit the dunes around 4:00. Hardly anyone was there and after some coaching I managed to make it up test hill on the third try, after that it came easy. Just get it rolling in 2nd and make sure you have it floored in third by the time you hit the transition. Damn near felt like it accelerated up the dunes.
Only problem I had was some oil leaking out of the pill bottle on steep decents. I'll relocate that before I head back out on 6/21/02 for a second go at it. Hopefully by then I'll be a little more competitive in the sand drags.
