First let me say the install wasn't easy. I'll get into that later, because this turbo ROCKS
I've only driven around 10 miles on the highway and maybe half that on the street. So my opinion is based on a short amount of seat time.
Number 1 - I don't know what other guys mean about all this lag, because I cannot feel anything but pulling like a freight train from hell. I honestly cannot feel any lag at all. Maybe it's my fueling. I don't know. I'm totally impressed with Industrial Injection's product. Phenomenal.
Number 2 - As soon as you touch your foot to the throttle, the whistle is louder than full throttle with the stock turbo. Jet engine like when accelerating. I know already I'm going to have a problem because it was too much before. I will definately have to do something in the near future to quiet it down.
Number 3 - On the highway I was able to lay into the throttle somewhat. At 20psi boost if you blink your eye you're at 40psi. The needle moves almost instantaneously. You've got to see it to believe it. And the engine sounds deeper and meaner. I have no idea what the wastegate is set at so I let off somewhere above 40psi. Then I experienced my first bark, which to me sounded like a air valve shuttering before closing. I'll try not to do that again. I swear I wasn't at half throttle when it hit 40+ psi. I need to get my studs installed ASAP... Next weekends project. I could not be any happier and I have to thank my wife for an incredible birthday gift...
