Simple '91 - 727 auto filter change...

How many qts of t-fluid are supposed to be in our CTD autos(non-OD)? Gasser's are 8 qts for a new one(dry, fresh rebuild)... Any different for ours? Sorry. Don't have an FSM.



Here is why... I don't think the dipstick is original... Scares me a little... So, I'm pulling the pan, changing the filter... How much (approx) fluid should I be puttin' back in?



Any thoughts?

My 47RE may hold a different amount than yours, but I usually get about 5-6qts out when I pull the pan.

Dry the owners manual says 11qt. Not sure with just a pan drop.

My 518 took 6 quarts today to top off after a fitler change.
