Hi All:

I am new to the 3rd gen trucks. In my recently purchased 06 I have noticed that when I run the AC and park there is no puddle of condensed water on the ground below the passengers firewall as there is in my 94. Does this suggest that the evaporator drain is plugged? If so, can somebody give a picture of where the darn thing is located. I cannot seem to find it. Thanks!

I have several of these trucks and all of them leave a puddle just inside and behind the passenger front wheel. . however in dry climates... like AZ this is often not noticeably. . it might sit and run for 30-45 min and the puddle might be the size of a quarter and if the pavement is 100* you don't see it at all... .

Ok, I must be getting senile. I expected a tube much lower on the firewall and was crawling around underneath the truck. Popped the hood for other reasons and there was the outlet plain as day on the passenger's side firewall.

Jim: Thanks for the reply. I am in humid NC. My '94 pees like it just had a 6 pack every time I park after running the AC. I expected a pie size puddle. I will look a little closer for a smaller spot. Outlet seems clear. Steve Whalen

I think if your drain tube were clogged with say, dirt dauber nest, the water would show up on your passenger floor area. My 96 makes a heavy stream.
