I figured my post may get deleted by the Ford moderators, Lord knows they can't handle the truth! Here is my thoughts on some people boasting about their 6. 0s with 10,000 worry free miles, hahahaha. I know it's a lost cause with these guys, buy I am an instigator :)

"Super, you are correct, I have no personal experience with the 6. 0. But you saying you have no problems at 19,000 miles is nothing to be excited about. Well, with the 6. 0s track record I guess it is.

6. 0 owners all over this board are proclaiming, with as little as 10,000 miles on their trucks, that it's the best and most perfect truck in the world! NO, ITS NORMAL! HELLO! MCFLY! 10,000 miles is a little too premature to be talking up your truck. One guy said it best, you are making this fact based on a certain amount of time. "Just got back from a 500 mile tow and my new 6. 0/Torqshift worked flawlessly" DUH, I would hope so! 500 miles? I drive 500 miles in one work week, without anything going wrong, JUST LIKE I EXPECT. But 6. 0 owners must have a higher expectancy of them working better. Like "Wow, my truck didn't die on the road, I must have a good one. " Of course there are the guys out there that got screwed on one or two and kept playing the cards til a "good" one panned out.

It's like me saying I bought a brand spanking new, top of the line cooktop/oven and I made ONE meal on it and it worked PERFECT!!!

Or I bought the newest cell phone out there, and I made one call on it, BEST CELL PHONE EVER,IS PHONE ROCKS!!!!!!

I have about 115,000 miles on my truck and have gone through one PS pump (previous owner), one lift pump, and now my current PS pump is leaking. Not bad for a Cumapart. Am I surprised? No, an almost six-year-old truck with over 100,000 miles on it. No, it is performing like it should be.

Moderators, delete my post if you want, you have before when you don't like what you hear. I know you hate the truth. "

Every time I go to that site I just want to sock the people like George C and Perf350. What a bunch of A-holes. If you say anything even remotely bad about a Powerpuke then they immediatley yell Troll and shoot you down. "F" them. #@$%! #@$%!

To be fair, if you look in the 3rd gen forum here you will find many comments that say about the same thing, especially about the new 600's. For someone that has a new truck, it's hard to make a claim that you have a 1,000,000 mile truck, but you can say that you have one that was defect free from the factory. That in itself is useful informatiion to new buyers.

:D :D :D

YUP, exactly! ;)

Ya get a-holes where ever you go. I will admit though... . I shredded the papers on a new 2004 F250 to get the truck in my signature. 10,000 trouble free miles shouldnt be a big deal.

I just can't trust the new 6. 0L yet, even with a warranty. I test drove 5 of them and each one felt completely different. The torqshfit sure was awesome though.

I decided to try a 7. 3L. It actually felt like a diesel. Ended up getting one and saving a TON of cash. :D

My RVing bud has an early '99 PS 7. 3 - he tends to drive like a maniac, and tows heavy - doesn't service the transmission or drivetrain properly for the use he puts on it - replaced the transmission and differential with under 75K on the clock ($5000 worth!)- understandable the way he treats it - but the 7. 3 sure is doing well for him!

Too bad Ford couldn't have kept on refining that engine instead of moving to the 6. 0...

I agree Gary, The 7. 3 was no Cummins but I certainly can't say it was a POS. Seemed like a great platform to build off of. Who know why Ford does the things they do.

I drove 290. 2 FEET last Saturday night and am proud of that! (Won my first pull)

The truck has 150k on it. Bone stock until I got it at 141k.

Second place was a 7. 3 that had to weigh at least 1500# more than me--and had dual rear tires. :D

I'am not braggin... . but my 98. 5 has 320K, one fuel pump (1st Mo), lift pump at about 200K, TPS around 175K and drive upwards to 5K/mo! It gets complete service every 5K rain or shine and runs great. has a 47re I suppose will go someday and it doesn't ocurr to me to even look at the 10K digit on the od! This is my 3rd CTD ( 2 12Vs and the current 24V) These are company trucks and are primarily hiway miles. My new 04 should be here 6/30/04!! anybody want to buy a great 98. 5?? sorry moderator wrong place for that. ps ya'll should check up on Ford history at allpar.com
