Has any one noticed just how bad Sirius has gotten lately? My god, the DJ's on most of the music stations yack yack yack now like they do on AM FM radio. I have XM in another truck, and its pure music.

If anyone else feels the same, send an email to Sirius. I'm going to install XM when my Sirius subscription runs out. Or just listen to FM again, its the same IMHO.

It must be the particular station, I listen to allot of Country and like "New Country" until they start up with the artist interviews then I change the channel over to "Prime Country"

Allot of changes are coming on the 29th for Sirius, I am looking forward to checking out the Super Shuffle on 12, Radio Margaritaville on 31, Coffee House on 30 and SPA on 73 for a break from Country once in a while.

As for XM, I might just have to give them a try because I found out the XM direct product integrates better with the OEM head unit than Sirius does by showing Artist Name and Title all at a lower hardware cost. That to me is odd since DC is hooked up with Sirius.

Yeah, particular station, like , 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17 ,18 ,19 ,20 31 and others. Sirius sucks now IMHO. I'm not going to pay $20 a month to listen to high school drop out DJ's yack forever between music. FM can do that for free.

I have the 6 disc changer and no Sirius. I like it just fine as I have a zillion c/d's. I can listen to Sirius at home over Dish Network and it seems fine. I spend most of my time in the garage and yard which I have speakers in both. Personally, I like it, but I listen to the 50's-60's and Easy listening. . Good stuff! :)

With that dipcrap Stern coming to Sirius soon, that should be all the reason you people need to switch over to XM !! :p :-laf Love my XM, much more so since I hardwired it into the stock set up !

Im with you and don't want any talk on my music stations but you can't really compare Sirius to FM... can you? I have not added Sat radio to my 05 yet (had it in the 03) and FM is just horrible till I get to work and turn on Sirius.

From the stations I listen to, its not much better with XM. Hank's place ch. 13 is absolutely the most aggrivating station I've ever heard. I want to hear classic country, not some moron put quarters in the jukebox and pour people coffee. I think hell would freeze before ch 13 played two songs in a row without interruption. The bluegrass and classical stations are excellent! Go figure.

I currently have SIRUS in my thuck and was going to add a reciever to my commuter VW (TDI of course) as an add'l subscription. Recently SIRUS has been falling all over themselves advertising there own stations and I am not really appreciating it. My wifes new ride (Honda Ridgeline) has XM in it and there seems to be much less "self advertising" and idle chatter. I am SIRUS'ly considering changing my original plan and switching everything over to XM. Is there a XM product that fully integrates with the OEM Dodge stuff as does the Sirus?

I have XM in my truck and my car, and I love it. After listening to this, im' glad that I didnt get sirius. The only gripe I have with XM is that you cant get all the stations on the internet, only a limited selection. Oh well, maybe someday.

Yes, its called XM Direct, is cheaper and shows artist name and title on your 04. 5 as long as you have a "mode" button.

Mine never leaves 20 and 21... And it seems to music all the time, No talk I have noticed

But then again I listen at 8am and 10pm... and thats about it

Then again, I have it free - :p So its worth it!

Stern going to Sirius was my main reason for getting XM. I found I tend to listen to 4 channels on it. Channel 48 the Squizz is awesome for metal and unknown rock bands, My boys like Highway 16. I also listen to Fox news and the Uhcut comedy channel, great for long trips.

Morph.

I agree. Note to self; send complaint to XM. I'm not paying money to listen to goofy sound effects. :-{}

You are correct to much conversation. Loaded my CD's on iPOD 986 songs. Got adapter at Best Buy listen to it all on my car stereo. Just hit random play. Good for cross country trip with no repeats.

Thats a great idea, my problem is I never invested in allot of CD's so that would cost me more than Sat Radio to buy that many songs. You got a neat set up there. :)

Thanks ... . I'll check it out.
Take a look here

Looks like the price just dropped another 20. 00

I installed one for a friend and found a good spot for the tuner is on the back side of the knee panel, the adapter velcro's behind the radio.

Cabling plugs into your OEM head unit and also gets its power from there so you don't even have to run power & ground circuits. I put the magnetic antenna at the upper left corner of the cab and the cabling under the weather striping.

I found This integrates best with OEM radios that have the dot matrix type of display vs the older style that have segments to configure the text.
