The DC website quotes approximately $175 to add satellite radio at build while my dealer wants $281 for parts only (receiver and install kits) now that I want to install it myself. Anyody out there know what gives?

I am not sure what the factory is doing but to get SIRIUS after the truck is built means you need two MOPAR kits. One kit is the general SIRUS tuner and the external antenna. The second kit (installation) has the drilling template, antenna extension and tuner mounting hardware. There are several different "second" kits depending on which DC car/truck you are putting the SIRIUS in. The second (installation) kit for the RAM trucks also has parts for putting the tuner in the DAKOTA also. I bet factory only has parts needed for the RAM trucks.

I need to correct the above statement.

Radio was $175

Install Kit was $124

Labor was $65

Total = $364

These prices are the suggested list price on the mopar accessory website, so the dealer is discounting the system at $281 you were quoted. Take the deal.

if you want the kit cheaper they sell the kits at united radio in syracuse ny 18005992101 and ask for radio sales they ship it out the next day air when i work for chrysler dealer this is where we bought them they ar ebrand new and you get factory warranty . also i bought the gps units here and saved over 300 dollars , if you dont want to have the antenna drilled into your roof you can go to circuit city and by a magnectic and it better to me then drilling into my roof

I used the MOPAR kit. I did not want to cut the hole in the roof because I get a new truck at least every year, and wanted to take the Sirus with me. I went through one of the body plugs under the pass rear seat, and have the antenna mounted on the bed rail under the toneau cover. Probably not quite as good as on the roof, but still reception equal to CD's. I love it!
