allrite i hate to ask the same questions that have alredy been asked but i cant find the answers under the search. How do i enter my "location", and what do the symbols at the beginning of a thread mean?What exactly is a signature? I am new to the register and think it is an excellent site. Have a 4. 5 on the way

Welcome to the site, and Congratulations on the new truck.



You're right, the search isn't always quite as helpful as one would hope.



For your signiture, click on the "User Control Panel" button. Then click on "Edit profile". Scroll down and you will see a box for your sig, and one for your truck profile. For your sig. to be seen by everyone, fill out the signiture box.



Once that is done, you need to click on "Edit options" (next to Edit profile). Scroll down to "Thread veiw options". The line below that is "Show user's signatures in their posts?", click YES. That is it.

The symbols at the beginning of a thread are whatever the user chooses when he makes a post. The only thing the system does is put a black dot inside the icon if you've posted on that thread. You can enter your location in the User Control Panel and then click on edit profile. Look through edit profile and edit options and that is where everything is as far as what you can adjust on the forums.

With a little help from you guys and a little chicken pecking on this keyboard i have gotten some of it figured out. bmoeller is the signature where you have"friends dont let friends drive chevies?"Steve thanks for your patience and guidance. You guys are a great help. Looking forward to my first ctd!
