Archived six speed problems

While driving down the hiway in my 2001 2500 six speed I started to loose power and then I heard a loud bang. I pulled over to the side of the rode and look all around esp. the tires as it sounded like I blew a tire. and nothing. I started off again and first and second gear made a lot of noise. I was able to get into high gear and get home. When I put it into 4x4 the shifter shakes and the trans make a lot of noise. Also oil is coming out between the trans and the tranfer case. Any ideas???

check oil levels in transmission and transfer case if either is really low you probably fried something only way to really check is pull em out and look inside. if the 6 spped has the pto covers pull them off and if you have a lot of metal pieces its toast. dont feel bad though im putting my new 5speed in today cause i fried mine fathers day weekend
