The plastic runners in the track that the seat rides on have broken out . The seat now hangs up when you try to move it forward or back, checked the dealer for the plastic parts to fix it. There is no parts available for the seat base you can only buy the whole base. its only $$$$$$$625. 00 Any one got any Ideas?

You could always try to find a wrecked truck with a good base in it in a wrecking yard. You may have to buy the whole seat to get it, but it will probably still be cheaper than the dealer.

Those with the power seat should keep a close eye on the seat tract . I had found a piece of the plastic track liner on the floor some time back but did not think much of it at the time. I did not know what it was. If I had only looked under there. The truck was still in Warranty at the time!!!!

Steve, Thanks for the heads up on this one. I will check mine today (99)for it is still under warranty. I don't slide my electric seat much. What do you think caused this problem? Dave

The seat has never been moved much as I am the only one who drives the truck. I guess the plastic is just not tuff enough for the still to slid in . You can not buy any part for the seat base,If one of the motors burns out there is no replacement . Without buying the whole base. $625. 00

Steve, checked mine yesterday and all looks good to me. I do have the 8 way seat however and don't know if this makes a difference.

Before I would spend the kind of money the dealer is asking I would remove the seat, remove the broken part/s and have another new one machined. To spend that much on a whole new seat support is far too much. After looking at mine I have to agree with you, the engineers didn't have much of a budget when they designed this puppy. Sorry to hear yours went South.

IF I could find out where the seat base was made I might be able to buy some of the plastic runner, it just snaps in place.

Have you tried RV supply houses? They may have something that will fit. What are the dimensions?
