Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) sixth gear is getting growly

my sixth gear is starting to get louder and louder the more I drive - all other gears are quiet and it shifts fine up to this point - what should I expect for repairs if needed ???

currently 110,000 miles on the clock

Nothing like this has happened to me but I guess I would talk real hard to your dealer and then higher up to see what they might do. Failing to get anything done, I guess I would try changing to one of the lubes that have been discussed recently on the board. I guess I would also be resigned to a out of pocket overhaul. Good luck, mine has just shy of 30 K.
