I noticed when I hook up to the 5er, tow/haul and EB on, the trans will go from 2nd to 4th bypassing 3rd gear. It starts to lug pretty bad at that point so i sink my foot deeper to get it to downshift... anyone experience this?

Slight surging at low throttle low rpm conditions. Still does it. transmission won't downshift to maintain speed when descending grades loaded, still doesn't. Stereo volume jumps around and Bluetooth cuts out, now doing it worse.

When I took it back to them the second time, I actually got into an argument with the tech when he tried to tell me I didn't have an Aisin. I finally told him to stop arguing and crawl under the truck and look.

Then I was told "the learning process is different for an Aisin then the 68, so lets try it again". Didn't work. Will be taking the truck to a different dealer when I get a chance. This has been a month or so ago, I'm hoping Ram has a new Reflash that might fix the other issues.

I havent experienced any of those symptoms... yet. I only have 1500 miles on it... other than when I hooked my trailer to it, its been great. I think it has something to do with the shift parameters while in tow/haul mode because when i tow my light trailer and do not put it in tow/haul mode its fine.

What was your indication that it skipped 3rd? The Aisin has a different feel when shiftting as the torque convertor can lock up in 3rd gear or above (I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong). Tow haul makes this more apparent (due to higher engine speeds and thus more torque available that must be handled) as the transmission unlocks the torque convertor, then up shifts, it may immediately relock the convertor or it can remain unlocked for a period of time then relock depending on throttle position. This process repeats itself when its ready to upshift again. I believe it modulates the relocks of the convertor depending on throttle position. I agree sometimes it seems to get confused espicially in tow haul with light throttle in the lower gears. I'm sure the electronics can skip gears, but I think its hard to tell sometimes when the torque convertor is doing its thing and when the transmission is shifting.
