Wanted to know if anyone has a SkyJacker 7" lift on their 1994-2002 2500 and whatsize tire they were running? Please post pictures if you would.

Thanks,

Todd

Unless Skyjacker came out with a new lift, there is not 7" lift available for 2500/3500 series trucks with the cummins. As far as I'm aware of, the 4. 5" is the biggest they make. I love mine :D :D

Rattlebox--they do make a 7" lift and I was almost sure it handled our trucks from the preview I saw on their site awhile back--of course it's not there now--I know of no one using one yet---chris

Yes it is indeed a new lift. It is a partnership between king coilovers and skyjacker. called amazingly the skyking system. Infact some of the advertising features a 24V cummins, should be a great new lift.

New to the site and want to say hello to everyone out there. I have the skyjacker 4. 5" system for my truck and have been very pleased with it. I read a bunch of off-road forums and they all say stay away from the whiplash unless you just drive your truck on the street every day. The 10" can put alot of stress on our front setup. The skyking is very expensive to get an extra couple inches and over double the price. Dick Cepek makes a 6" system that is alot less cost. As for tire size I will be running 37" Parnelli Jones next tires I buy just didn't have the funds for them when I bought my present tires. Kevin

Whiplash has or had a very bad reputation for their lifts failing and some other behind the scenes insurance scams and what not--it seems to me I heard or saw that they were bought out, but I'm not sure--I'd still stay away from them unless you have from a good source that they're legit---to me the Dick Cepek lift looks like the best lift kit out there--the Skyjacker 7" one looks to be the second best, but it is almost double the cost and if you throw in the shocks--yikes---I have had Skyjacker's 4. 5" lift on for 2 years now, but the D-Cepek one looks better-Fabtech and Superlift and Skyjacker with their 4. 5" lifts are probably very close to one another ----chris

Don't have any experience with the 7" Skyjacker, but I read a few posts over here that didn't speak very highly of it. Something about to many bugs to be worked out.

Here's the Cepek 6" suspension lift. Like the longer links,

but don't care for the steering set-up.

I had the chance to chat with a guy from Skyjacker at a show in Navada last summer, and he said that you can upgrade from your 4. 5" kit to the 7" for just under $1,000 not sure if that is true or not. The new skyjacker Skyking Coilover kit comes with longer control arms as well, infact they look longer then those in the Cepek kit. I heard the same Chris, Whiplash is under new managment and have been redeaming themselves. I have looked at a local kit here in town and it looked pretty good. If I had it do over right now I would opt for the 7" Skyjacker kit and get a part time job :D

I was seriously contemplating a 3" PA body lift and 38" Parnelli's even though I am not a fan of body lifts, but this gets me higher and bigger meats, and may not hamper with the sled pulling to much.

I wouldn't install a body lift just for that one reason. Some places might not let you pull because of it (call me crazy:rolleyes: )

BBD--I think I heard that body lifts are a real pain due to our intercooler--or something along that line--make sure you check that out---yea that skyjacker lower arm looks longer but the upper is still stock length--I wonder about that, but it has heim vs the Cepek bushings--I may just lengthen my lower arm and see what happens---I'll keep ya posted--chris
