HEY COUNTRYBOY

I'LL TRY TO GET SOME PICS DEVELOPED AND SCANNED SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT A 4" LOOKS LIKE.

I SEE YOUR FROM SEAMAN, I'M OUT THAT WAY QUITE A BIT, IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE TRUCK JUST LET ME KNOW AND YOU CAN CHECK IT OUT AND SEE WHAT YOU THINK.

hey SClements, that would be great my rig is broke down right now but I'd still love to see your truck. Well have to meet up sometime there are a few of us on this forum from seaman and

winchester. it's a small world

SClements,

I just wan't enough to make it look better for now. I would put on 35's but I realy don'tt need them. I off road a little at my grandfathers but he has "skidder trails" so I want the transfer case higher. It seems realy low! 1 foot maybe 16 inches! It needs raising! I don't want to get such big tires it messes with my gearing to much eather stock rubber is 30-32 inch so I will get new stock springs from "bailley spring and chassy"(sp?) and have them add a couple extra leaves. 2"-3":D 33's should fit stock then I can lift when I get mo money!:D

Thanks for all the useful info on the skyjacker springs. I ordered the rear 6" lift springs on Thursday. Only problem is that my truck was involved in an accident on Saturday. :( Nobody was hurt except my truck. Other drivers fault completely. Waiting to see if the truck can be fixed. I guess I'll have the body shop put the springs on my truck while they have it apart.

Thanks again for your input,

Dan

The story goes like this... My friend borrowed my truck to transport an Ausin Healy up to Fremont CA. on an equipment trailer. They were in the #2 lane. A young 19-20 yr old girl tried to pass in the #1 lane, went too far over and hit the K-Rail in the center median. My friend saw the green hood of the honda at eye level out the driver's window. She then hit the truck on the side nerf bar, not damaged, and then hit the K-Rail again and then hit the truck behind the cab, bent up the bed on the driver's side. This sent the turck spinning sideways(sp?) with the trailer in tow. Truck hit the K-Rail head on and slid along K-rail. Bolts on bumper sheared and bumper was pushed into front grill on passengers side. Punctured '93 radiator I installed in November. Meanwhile the trailer kept going straight and rear bumper was hooked on trailer and the trailer blew out back tire on driver's side. Car on trailer slid to side but was stopped by knock-off on rim, preventing damage to car and trailer. Rear bumper shoved into bed of truck and receiver hitch frame was bent. Bed seems to be shifted on frame but I believe that the frame is undamaged. Body shop thinks it is fixable, we'll see what insurance adjuster says. If it is totaled I'll either buy back and rebuild or part out so I can buy another first gen truck.

Sorry for the long post,

Dan:(

Girl's Truck...

Hey Countryboy!:)

Here's a few shots of my girlfriend's truck taken by the previous owner & moderator... . Frank Simkowski.

It's has the SJ 4" Lift Springs & 36" tires. I think it rides a bit 'rough' when compared to my SJ 2 1/2" W250 & 35" BFG AT KO's.

4" front view

4" rear view

Just my opinion of the two trucks I've driven...
