Off Roading EarthRoamer in Baja again

Competition Racing In SLC

Hi all:

Anyone have any experience with the 7. 5 inch Skyjacker lift and or Skyking coilovers... looking for opinions. I'm also considering the Cepek 6" kit, How do they stack up?

Thanks

For the most part people talk pretty good about the Skyjacker Kits. Some parts are for the 1500 models , so you may have to modify a little. Don't know about the coil overs or the Cepek kit .

Use the search option and you will probabely find all kinds of opinions .

Welcome to the TDR !

The Cepek is a long arm and in being so will give you a quality ride. But keep in mind that the Skyking Kit was designed to take the extra weight of the v10 and diesel. In fact one picture in their advertising uses a cummins so its safe to say that it has been tested and proven on our vehicles i think that if money for the most part is equal then go with the skyking. Because skyjacker is not manufacturing the coilover King coilover a trusted name in racing and offroading is.

Seawolf welcome to TDR... build your signature so we can see what your starting with... . it helps us guys.

I just did the Skyjacker after looking at everything for nine months. This iron kicks butt and the trackbar subframe mount is unbelievable so before you do it look all the iron over real close.

This diesel in my small town has people talking:cool:

Good Luck

William

Thanks for all the input guys... Right now I'm leaning towards the Skyjacker setup, Mainly because the links use sperical rod ends :D whereas the Cepek rig has urethane bushings plus the Skyjacker stuff appears to be much stouter/better engineered.

Thanks again

Bill

skyjacker

have and the skyjacker 4. 5 and the front couils are saggin really bad. i am taking the kit off this weekend and am putting air ride on it. i am going to measure the coils to make sure they did not sag more than allowed. if they did i will send them back and get some new one. hopes this helps
