Does anyone know or has anyone repressurized the hydralic cluch assembly on a cummins manual transmission?

I went to the local Dodge dealer and the shop manual showed that the system was not serviceable. Therefore the entire system

needs to be replaced at $350 :{ (the slave cylinder, the tubing and pedal plunger - it comes from the factory prepressurized).

I have removed all of the air from the system, but it still only depresses the clutch about 1/2 inch. I looked at a factory '92 on a car lot and its cluch depressed more than twice that distance.

Is there anyway to obtain that factory pressure yourself?

There is no bleeder screw or any sort of relief valve on this system.

It is very odd since it is a system that can be played with...

there are roll pins at both ends of the tubing and the car parts stores sell the individual compenents???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried the bleed and repressure route and even replaced my slave cylinder without any luck. After discussing the problem with Peter at South Bend clutch I decided to spend the $300 for the complete sytem - problem solved. I felt that after 130,000+ miles that it was just worn out. Hope this helps.

Happy trails:)
