Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) slave cylinder

Im doing a manual trans swap and I bought a slave valve for a 97. It came with a plastic limiting strap on the rod. Is this needed for the install?? I got careless and ended up breaking mine in two pieces before I even got it installed. How important are these things and whre can I get a replacement?? I hope I can buy it seperate and not have to buy a new slave cylinder.

If it's the plastic end piece then the straps are so you don't loose it during installation just put the cap on and insert it into the transmission. Those straps break the first time you push in the clutch.
