slave or master cylinder

The slave or master cylinder went out on my 03' 6 six speed. Is there an upgrade for this or has this happend to other people. The dealer says it's on back order and that you must get both new you can not order them seprate. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try your local NAPA store. They seem to have separate parts available sometimes. It's worth a shot anyway.



Why isn't this under warranty?

I know when I replaced the one on my 99 it comes as one sealed filled unit. I thought I read a thread on here awhile back about a guy repairing his with NAPA parts from the store, I think he gave a part number as well, I'll try a search.

Indeed, even the factory service manual specifically states that the master and slave are sold as a sealed unit. It is not possible to bleed the system or replace any component individually.
