Competition June 26th Diesel Drags in East Texas

Off Roading lockers

It is at 1:00PM on Sunday 6-27-04.

It was a pretty decent one last year. Had a couple of BOMBed Rams there too. Really, the only requirements are, the truck has to be street legal, and bring your own clevis.

There will be antique tractors and garden tractors pulling that day also. A little confusion on the time, though. I originally saw it to be at 10AM, but saw it later in the paper, and it said to be a 1PM also.

All at the grandstands.

I plan on being there, but won't be pulling.

If anyone needs directions to get there, let me know.

The time of the pull is 1:00 pm according to my ISP pulling schedule. I will be there with my bud & his super stock truck 1980 chevy called (money 4 nothin). I dont think i will pull the dodge as ISP (illini state pullers)has cracked down on the diesels & arent allowing twins, nitrous or propane. I will have it there just in case. Look me up i will be around the truck, you cant miss it its bright red & my dodge is blue & silver it will be hooked to the gooseneck pulling the super stock.

I'll try and find you. I'll wear my TDR hat.

Was your friend there last year? The truck name sounds familiar. There was a Chevy that was in the pull off with the 2 BOMBed Rams. I think it was a white one.

No we were not there last year as they did not have a super stock class. This class is a points race class & we only hit the pulls that are isp promoted & are given points. Ill see ya there.

Kurt

Hey guys, does that pull have a street class for gassers? I don't know if I will have the time this week to get the truck ready, but I would like to know. Hey propuller, do you have an ISP schedule you could email me? Don't know how much I will get east, but I am interested none the less. I have a couple buddies that would come out east and pull too. Let me know guys.

Michael

Mike, they are all of the street trucks were run together. At least they were last year. Those built gasser held their own. As long as it was street legal, had up to date insurance, they were allowed to run.

There was even a '79 Ford Bronco that pulled. Was doing good 'til he blew out the rear u-joint. I think he still did around 200'.

Simon Sez was there also. He was the only one in his class.

Thanks guys

Wont be making the cambride pull, but plan on attending other isp pulls. I will try to come to one where your buddy will be pulling, kurt.

Do you usually attend ISP pulls bmoller?

If you see a red first gen with a big grill gaurd, pulling a red 75 dodge 4X4 on a gooseneck, come and talk to me!! I will install my TDR sticker in the back window of my to vehicle.

Michael

Well, just talked to the wife, and there will be enough money and time to go to the cambridge pull. I just have to wash off all the mud from the truck, take off all the stuff for offroading. Pull the tires and rims off. Put on different tires and rims. Do a little carb work, and change the oil. Hope there will be enough time this week!!

I'll try to be there.

Michael

If they were having an ugly truck contest again, you wouldn't have to wash the mud off. Just adds to the character. :)

I don't get to many pulls. :{ With work, I generally either don't have time, or too tired to drive to them and back. Wish I got to more of them. I really enjoy them.

Oh don't worry, the truck don't look great after the muds off. I just like to be able to move as much weight around on my truck as I can. I 4wheel my 75 as almost more then I truck pull is so it has some trail damage.

I got the truck washed, tires/rims switched, hitch installed, carb work done, 1 ujoint replaced. Now I need to check over the tow vehicle and trailer today. Maybe mow the yard too. I'll see how today goes. Oh yeah, gotta get the TDR decal in the tow vehicle too. Might do that first.

See ya guys on Sunday.

Michael

Well, the truck is loaded and hitched to the 93. We are gonna leave around 9 am. I have the TDR decal in the back window, opposite of the "Dodge Makes is, Cummins Shakes it" decal. But its not like you'll miss my setup.

See you guys tomorrow!!!
