Off Roading Anybody use drop hangers?

Competition 7.98 Quarter Mile Run

Here's all the info I have on it from an anonymous source: '91 2x4, automatic, factory tach on top of the dash, 263k+ miles, and a lift gate (I sure hope he takes that off before making passes... those suckers are heavy... )

I even have a spy photo...

Matt

HMMMmm - wonder if Gene could simply turn that liftgate over, and use it as a scoop to pick up disintegrating drivetrain parts?

Besides, it adds weight to the rear for better traction... ;) :D

I have a beating to hand out to a certain yellow Nostalgic Superstocker with a utility bed.

I figure the lift gate will make it fair. :p :D

Let the resurrection begin!!!

Update:

IT RUNS!

No smoke, black, white, or blue.

But won't hold a prime over night

PS pump shot

Alt froze up.

Tensioner pulley froze up, but got it broke loose.

Pulley bearing rough, but injected some Amsoil racing grease into with a hypo needle, smoothed her right out.

Pressure washer blew out all the fins in the radiator, now it has massive leaks, lol. (pressure washer blows the paint off, but not those stickers. )

Tach works!

Acquired 3 used tires, about 50% tread left, from a famous east coast drag racer.

Budget racer is on the move... ... .

Still working on it, new radiator, belts, hoses, rebuilt starter, heater lines, steel and rubber, new fuel lines..... now it starts and moves, oh, whats that oil streak? transmission lines rotted through, pouring transmission fluid out.

Hey Gene. .

I think I know a Amsoil Dealer who can help you get the proper fluid for your truck after you fix your leaking problem :-laf :-laf :-laf ..... Andy
