Competition BBD goes 280 ft in Elko NV

Competition Question for those who have done the 271 t-case swap

Its a start, I don't expect it to make the beginning of the season, or maybe not this year at all.

If the original Sled Puller does not get sold, it may be longer than that.

is there even a transmission in there or its it s a clutch hooked to the driveline i can't really tell from the pic

That's a Dropbox & Reverser setup. Only one forward gear and one reverse gear. However you can change out the gear for higher or lower. Its MUCH stronger than your average trans/X-fer case setup though. Its what the open class guys run. The black round object is the bellhousing, its usually setup for 3 or 4 disk clutches.

What's a-matter Gene tired of breaking stuff? Your SBC DD & transmission held up fine last year, but I remember a axle going in C-town KY last Sept. ;)

The parts I used last year are fine at the 600-800HP range.

Doesn't EVERYONE break an axle at Cynthiana? I needed to bump up to Haisley axles, that could have been a win. Oh well.

I decided there was noway I was going cut a truck up as nice as mine for big parts. I have been gathering this stuff up for a few years, buying it right when I could.

I didn't say I would be driving it, now did I, Dave? Of course, I didn't say I won't be driving it, neither. And, this year will be a long shot, anyway, I just couldn't keep it asecret, any longer!!

Oh, sorry about that tarp, I forgot to take it off. Maybe next time. :-laf

Ed West's truck out in Haisley's shop

A Really nice guy Ed is, good to talk to him years ago in Muncie but better to see him out on the track!
