VE Pump slide pin o-ring

Hey all,
I’m working on a ‘93 w250 12v intercooled.
I’m getting ready to pull the top off my ve pump to replace the slide pin and O ring. I’ll also be changing the governor spring and fuel pin while in there.

My question is this, do I need to remove the afc lever and pin to access the slide pin or can I just go through the access hole after removing the Allen head cover?
A second question of lesser importance, I’ve already deleted the tps and installed a pots, can I remove the old tps and leave it off the pump?
Thanks for any help.

Okay, here’s where I’m at: (I don’t know if I’m using the right terms for everything but hopefully my descriptions will help).
New fuel pin and governor spring are in. I knocked out the two ball bearings and slid the afc lever pin out of the way, removed the afc lever, Removed the cover nut? (in-line with the slide pin, located on the outside of the pump top), removed the old slide pin ( came out pretty easily) removed the retaining nut (4.5mm), removed the brass thing? underneath the retaining nut and didn’t find an o-ring.
What am I missing?

Maybe check out the following YouTube person, they have a bunch of subscribers and views on some VE pump videos.

Should be able to search their videos.

Good luck, maybe someone will jump in who is familiar with this repair.

Thanks, that’s the YouTube video that gave me the confidence to attempt this. Great, concise video except for the very last part where the o-ring is.
I called Eric at Hungry Diesel and he walked me through the last bit of changing the o-ring.
