Truck Camper tie down system for dually?

Hi all,

I just acquired an 03 CC short bed (Cummins of course). I know the best way to avoid 5th whl/cab clearence problems it simply to not buy one. But, the truck was so nice I had to do it.

I have a small 21. 5 Nash with an extended pin box but I do a lot of camping off road so I will need a slider (for occasional tight spots), to fit my Reese hitch.

I was going to go with one of the newer Reese round tube sliders but found a used (cheap) Reese Kwik slide. It is not one of the roller versions. Should I persue this or just spend the bucks for a good one?

Missing my 95 long bed!

Superglide by Pullrite... Great hitch with quick release, leaves bed open, free of and mounting hardware. It seems that with an extended pin box you should be fine tho?

I agree with DogramTD. I believe the Superglide by PullRite is your best bet. I have the Super 5th PullRite for my Long bed dually. It's been great.

Thanks Guys,

I know the PullRite is a nice hitch but I already have the Reese rails and fixed hitch so all I need, or perhaps may need, is the slider. Just wondering if the Kwik slide even worked or if it was such a pain as to be avoided.

I think I will just hold out for one of the newer Reese round tube sliders.

FFL8N,

probably overkill for what I need, but PM me with data.

Thanks,
