Slight ticking sound

I have a slight ticking sound coming from the engine or instrument panel. When I touch the accelerator pedal ever so lightly it stops. I get this sound when running at speed or idleing. Any suggestions??

Look for anything rubbing or touching under the hood. Some with automatics(you need to fill out your sig) have had to adjust the dipstick tube and items such as that. Adjust or tie wraps.
