Slip tank, short box, and a Reese Signature hitch

I want to add a slip tank to the bed of my short box truck. I plan on getting a fifth wheel RV in the near future and plan on using an 18K Reese signature series sliding hitch. I need to size my tank so that it won’t interfere with the future installation of this hitch.



I was wondering if anyone has this hitch, and if they could measure how much space there is between the front edge of the hitch to the front of the box?

There is 23" between the slide rail and the front of the box. There is 19" between the slide rail handle and the front of the box. I would think you could shorten the handle so you could still get the 23". The handle I am referring to is the one that unlocks the slide so the hitch can slide backwards and forwards on the rails.
