My 2000 3/4 ton automatic has developed a slipping in and out of lock-out that 3 trans. technitions have thrown parts at to no avail. A new TPS , a new shift kit, and a transmition flush. Nothing is showing up on the "computer" they use to detect problems. It goes to a new dealer shop today. What do you guys think?

depending on how many miles, and what you`ve done with it in those miles, its possible the torque converter lockup clutch may be bad. . If it isnt some kind of computer problem thats causing the lockup solenoid to release, its probably the lockup clutch plates worn down... if you do a lot of towing, particularly in lock up at low rpm, that can eat em up. .

good luck

ohya, Welcome to TDR...

Sounds like the old electrical noise spikes problem. Do a search - many posts on this. Call DTT for a noise filter.

Bill,

Mine was doing the same thing. Like Tom said contact DTT for the noise filter - worked for me - cheapest fix so far. I think about $35 + my time 1/2 hour to install. It's been on going on 9 months now.
