First thing you should do is try a tracert to see if the problem is on the backbone or with your ISP. If you are on a windows machine you can do this by bringing up a command window and then typing:
tracert
www.turbodieselregister.com
You'll get a report that looks something like this:

See on line 4 where there's an * - that's a timeout and that's at my ISP. line 3 is my cable modem, line 4 is my ISP. It doesn't get to our host facility until line 14 where it says globalcompass - that is our host. If you see timeouts or delays before that point then the problem is on the backbone or your ISP. Do the tracert more than once btw because that's just one small packet going through which may go through good once, but not the 2nd time.
I just looked over the logs and there is nothing to indicate a slowdown of any kind tonight. The DNS server is working great (that will only cause slowdowns when posting). The server load never went over 1. 3 tonight - 2. 0 is 100% loaded. Lastly, the slow query rate is at . 005% or 10. 08 slow queries per hour out of 199,973 (a slow query being longer than 10 seconds).
