Can some of you 3rd gen. guys advise me on what causes the motor to decelerate so slow. My son left his truck here while he is in Iraq and I can't figure out why it does this. It is a real pain to shift. He has a Bully Dog downloader on it but he said it did it before also. I don't have a clue where to look

i have an 03 spd and sitting at a redlight are in a drive though just idleing it idles up too 1000rpm and sometimes up to 1200rpm and if i put it in gear and let off the clutch to put a bind on the motor it will idle down to 750 any ideas thanks also nothing done to it but a striaght exhaust

cclark746 my 03 was acting like that last spring. The technician had to call DC a couple of times and it was determined that there were poor connections on the ECM where the main wiring harness connects to it. I also has intermittent fan problems and a door lock malfunction that was related to the same thing. They ordered new connectors and spliced them in and everything has been good since. Only problem was it was on my nickle. The story they gave me is that the manufacturer of the connector blocks had the wrong sizing of the pins. I felt that since it was a defect they knew about there should have been some consideration from DC, but no surprise I was denied any compensation. At least the dealership was decent about it.
