yeh, actually there is a fix for it. I am not too familiar with the thread, cause mine never had the problem. Do a search for "slow fill up. " It should come up in the results. I believe it is caused by the vent tube

I guess Dodge doesn't care about the last 3/4 gallons? My wifes' Jeep Liberty can be tough also. Some pumps won't let any more than a trickle go without kicking off. Can be a real pain. . Doc

After the pump kicks off I always put in another 4 gals and could put in 5 probably. Makes figuring the mpgs more consistently. However, that 4 gals could be a problem in a busy station. ;)

I think that Dodge leaves a void in the fuel tank to compensate for fuel expansion. Theoretically, if you live around the corner from your fuel station and you fill your tank to the rim with relatively cool fuel from an underground tank, then drive one block and park your truck during a 98 degree day, the fuel could expand and leak on the ground.

The vent kit in the link above is the way to go. Takes me about 30 seconds to top off my tank with this kit installed. I put in over 35 gals the first time I filled up after installing this kit.

DocDeTon: Once mine clicks off, it is 6-7 more gallons to fill it up properly. Most I have put in is 37. 5+ gallons.

The vent kit works great. I fill till it clicks, then another 20-30 seconds and the fuel is up in the neck. Oo. Can't beat that for consistency when trying to calculate mileage. ;) Plus, as mentioned above, you can get more than 35 gallons in a tank which would otherwise only hold 34 gallons.

Spooled-up did a great job on the kit and deserves a lot of credit and a big - THANKS!!!
