Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) slow shifter

Has anyone had problems with their 47re, not shifting out of 1st gear,until high RPM? Had an expensive modulator replaced, at a dealer 18 mos. ago... now the same problem started last week!!!



99 SB Driftwood auto 3. 5's 265 75 R16's stock.

all odds are that the governor solonoid is sticking. if the trans is losing lots of metal replacing will only prolong the replacement of the trans.
