I put my new ball joints and axle U-joints in a week or two ago and had the front end aligned. Now I have noticed when a slow speed vibration in the steering wheel. It doesn't do it all the time but I notice it when I pull in my drive on am turning in a parking lot. It's only after the truck is warmed up too. My steering box had some play so i adjusted it and I am wondering if I went a bit to far and this is the issue. Power steering pump maybe a culprit as well? I'm gonna drain the reservoir and fill it with new synthetic PS fluid... . to see if it helps but I figured I would post this up and see if anyone else has ran across this. I have 280+k on the truck it had the stock ball joints (only one was really bad) and the stock u-joints which were fine but I just replaced them anyway since I was in there. The steering box is stock as well and i have a DSS brace on it. Track bar is good (newer)... . any thoughts? Possibly the rear diff clutches in the LS chattering? I might add some modifier. It's has Amsoil in the rear and it never made a noise so i don't think I added any modifier but it's been a year or two.

Well I added a bottle of the Mopar LS additive to the rear last night and drove around... . it seems a little better but it's still there. I jacked the front end up and there are no play in the bearings (side to side or up and down) The tires roll free front and back. I even drained all the PS fluid out of the pump reservoir and filled it with new synthetic fluid. I didn't feel it real bad this morning so maybe the LS additive is working in the clutches. If that isn't it could a brake pad cause something like this? I am leaning towards the PS pump and/or steering box though.

Something I forgot to mention..... If I have the left front wheel off the ground and spin it ai can hear something in the diff like gears meshing low a low pitched purr..... is that normal? My oil level is good and oil is in good shape. i don't get the noise from the right side but it's not spinning the diff cause of the CAD. I assume the spider gears are spinning when the left wheel is spinning cause the DS isn't moving. My 4x4 does work fine.
