I'm looking into it right now. The server load was over 2. 0 from 9:10pm to 10:25pm eastern time - over 2. 0 is fully loaded which means that requests are going into a queue that the system gets to when it can. The server log writes the 5 minute average to a log file and it's never been over 2. 0 for more than a single 5 minute period in a row in the past and rarely ever even for 1 5 minute period. The loads are back to normal now. It's possible that it was a hacker attack but I won't know until I look through the logs a lot more. It would have been no slower on dialup versus broadband, btw. The server was just flat out overloaded.

Steve is there a status update on the site? The page load times have been highly variable, some times very slow & others instant loading. Tonight is very slow again and tracert is returning this:

We are running on the other server now (switch to this one on wednesday night due to an issue on the other one) which I had to reload from scratch and I am in the process of tuning the mysql engine. Until we hit peak loads I don't know what needs to be changed. The table cache was maxed out tonight which causes slow responses at times. Bear with me while I get this thing tuned up.
