Hi guys

Pulling fiver(4500#) home from last trip of the year , I noticed that

when I got in lock up on the flat, gave it a little fuel and the rpm's

jumped up a couple of hundred. Also theres only a couple hundred

rpm's between shifts.

Does this say transmission or what ?

I don't have the trans temp gauge in yet, but my engine has been

running hotter since I put EZ in in spring .

Also I was hoping somebody could point me toward that transmission

comparison thread . Not sure if it was here or on DTR but I'll keep

looking.

Thanks for any responses and you guys keep on typing and I'll

keep listening.

How does the fluid look and smell? The bands can be adjusted to firm up the shift feel and there may be a problem with the lock-up solenoid.

I wish I could spend the 4k that would eliminate this concern but that is another story. Mike

AKAMAC

Pretty and pink and smells great, rpm's go down when it locks up, but

just when gave it a little fuel it went up when I thought it should be holding more ,like a stick.

Have you tried a WOT run while empty? Watch the RPM's and feel the shift points. When I started slipping I could really tell on the 2 into 3, 3 into OD, LU still was firm. I'm not sure if you mean RPM change while locked-up will fluctuate on the let off or the acceleration, it shouldn't be spongy on the acceleration side. Mike

AKAMAC Tried it at WOT, dropped 500 rpm, must just be me.

This was with a empty car trailer on, everything seemed fine at WOT.

Thanks for all your replys!!
