small diesels

Anybody know where I could get my hands on a small cummins or similar diesel? We would like to put it into a 55 ford pickup for fun.

Look for the bread trucks that are getting retired,some have the 3. 9-4BT with a TH400 GM transmission. These trucks are super cheap,but usually are high miles. Its a good starting point.

They have a special deal on detroit 3-53's that come complete with 4 speed manual trannies, radiators, fans, and other what not. These engines are take outs out of Gama Goats I think. $1295. 00 ain't bad to start out with Cummins or not...
