Small Home Type Steam Cleaners?

Have any of you tried using one of the small home type steam cleaners (you know advertised for auto, home) steam cleaners? Was thinking of trying one for cleaning areas before doing work on the part(s)? You know like the around the lift pump, or other areas?

Issues, problems, praise, products that may not work. What about electrical connections, problem or resolutiuon? Was thinking about one of these rather than the spray on type cleaners. Seems to be a lot of possibilities for degeasing small parts?

I have two of them. One is the small yellow one advertised on TV. It is barely adequate to clean the new grease off of the kitchen stove. Wife uses it in the bathroom for the lavatory fixtures. just will do that job.





The second one is a wheel around unit that we use to clean the floor tile. No carpets in my house. It puts out enough steam to keep the floor pad very hot and does a good job. But, it is not enough pressure to clean off an engine block. I suppose, given enough time it would melt it all off, but I wouldn't buy one for this job.



You will have to get one that has at least a 1 or 2 gallon tank with a gas burner on it to be adequate for cleaning a vehicle with.



The electric units just don't cut the mustard.
