Anyone Knowledgeable About Heat Treating?

I am thinking about getting a small inflatable boat to take out on lakes and small waterways etc. It would need to be big enough to hold at least 4 people (2 adults 2 kids) and the dogs. I have seen some in the area of around $500 or so which is about where I want to be. Anyone have any experience or suggestions??

Go to Seaeagle.com (don't know how to link it). I just got one from Cabela's at a great price. It was a floor model (four people/seven hundred pounds) for $120. By the time I got a motor mount, MinnKota electric 50 lb. thrust (about 3. 5 horse) and deep cycle trolling batter at Wal Mart. I've got about $425 in it.

I have two Inflatables. An Apollo and an Achilles. Both are nice but the Achilles has great oar locks for when you need to use oars. They go together in less than 20 minutes and both will take up to a 25 horse outboard. I tow a 5th wheel and don't want to tow a boat tandem (which we can do here in Montana) so I store one of the inflatables in the back of my truck when towing. They work absolutely awesome on small bodies of water where you would use electric trolling motors too. BUT, be careful because inflatables have a high profile in the wind and some electric motors will not push the inflatable around very well in the wind--hence my use of the oars when I got "blown" off the water last year with my 5 year old son!
