exhaust and turbo wrap?

Work Horse Chip

I'm looking at updating from a 1999 2500 2wd to a 2006 or 2007 5. 9 2500 4wd. I have been researching some upgrades and I was leaning toward a Smarty S06 PoD, 50HP injectors, FASS, S&B Intake and Manifold, 5" Exhaust then Gauges etc. During the research I am confused about the Injectors and Smarty. From what I read it seems that running low HP injectors is usless with the Smarty. If you put that you have aftermarket injectors you EGT's go up and some people have stated that the truck runs bad. Should you run the low HP Injectors with the timing advance? Does anyone have this setup and is happy with it? Do the injectors still help with gas milage when used with smarty? Are there certin upgrades that should be done with the Smarty at the different levels to keep things safe?

Thanks

Injectors work great with the Smarty programmer. What you'll find is with all else stock after you add larger injectors with the added programming you now have the potential to demand more fuel than the rest of your supporting hardware can provide. When this situation occures your rail pressure falls off and egt's go up. It's an easy solution, back the Smarty down a setting or two. It will still make more power that it would without injectors and it will do it smoother.
