Today I ran my truck on the dyno for the first time ever. I was very surprised at how it turn out. 324hp and 736tq. The HP spiked at about 2250 RPM however when it hit 2500 rpm it was like hitting a wall. The horse power dropped to 237 and troque dropped to 495. Is it bad when the guy running the dyno "something is wrong"? This was with the SMARTY on SW9. Also it olny blowed smoke for the first couple of seconds until the boost came up then it blows no smoke. Everything on the gauges were fine. Fuel pressure never dropped. I am running 6AN hose all the way to the VP44. It just seems as though there is not enough fuel. :{

I could sure use some advice here. I know I should get rid of the Ottomind, however I just don't have the cash right now. I just want to see if that is the problem.

Any help would be great.

Thanks, Ben

Do you have the new Smarty software loaded? It should fuel hard through 3700 or so. It sounds like you are running out of fuel.

Yes I just loaded the latest and greatest from the MADS web site and took it out on the freeway. Still no change. It just does not seem to be fueling as much as it should even before it falls off. Also the converter is now locking and unlocking.

I would say your peak numbers are about right, I made 383HP with Jammer 3 injectors which are much bigger than RV275's.

My graph is quite flat all the way to the redline, yours should fuel similar to mine. Could you post a graph?

I scanned the image and turned it to a PDF file. Even then the file is to big to down load. I am not sure how to do it. I have a friend I can ask and will try later.

The part that is bothering me is that the truck builds power up to 2300RPM. Then it starts ramping down and at 2500RPM it just dropps of in a straight line down.

Is this just that my injectors are to small? If I put bigger injectors in won't I have trouble passing inspection?

Thanks,

Ben

I have had it well above 90 and never noticed anything. We did try the smarty at SW8 and it appears to be a lot better. Also with the new Smarty down load it gives me the option to raise the speed limiter. We raised it to 113. I am pretty sure that is not it.

When I first got the truck about 6 years ago I had it at 120mph and that was with the ottomind only.
