Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Smarty and EZ

I have a buddy I work with and I am going to let him test out my smarty he has a EZ can we just pull the power fuse to the EZ and run the smarty on all levels I want him to see the diffrence with the timming from the smarty...

or just disconnect the datalink

The EZ doesn't have a power lead. Ya gotta unplug the datalink (like Bob says).
